In-8 (210 x 150 mm): [1] f.-II-151 pp. Covers and spine preserved. Light-brown half-basane with corners, separated by gilt fillet, spine gilt, title and author in dark-brown basane with simple gilt fillet framing top and bottom, collector's monogram at tail of spine, gilt head (Barroué).
Original edition.
Current edition, illustrated with 8 heliogravure plates. Forgotten, Cornélie Falcon was a singer at the Paris Opera in the 1830s. Presentation copy from the author to Baroness Edouard de Rothschild: “a Madame la Baronne Edouard de Rothschild, hommage respectueux et dévoué. Charles Bouvet 1927”.
Slight wear to spine and upper corner of second board.
