Full olive morocco, gilt fillet framing the boards, cold decoration with cold spandrels, cold rosette in the centre, smooth spine with rich cold floral decoration, gilt fillet framing the spine, roulette on the edges, gilt edges, inner roulette (CH. DE SAMBLANX).
Original edition with no large paper copies printed. Very fine copy in a romantic pastiche binding, with wide margins. The rare label title for works in unprinted yellow covers has been preserved on the spine (Vicaire).
Light water stain at the bottom of the page from page 188 onward, not affecting the text; small scratches on the boards.
