‘L'oriflamme calciné’, as André Breton called it, “Le Révélé”, as he signed this text. Antonin Artaud used to say ‘I know that I was predestined to burn’. Written in 1937, this text shows the most esoteric part of his research. In his correspondence with Breton, he wrote: ‘Death to the world; to what makes the world for everyone else, fallen at last, fallen, ascended into this void that I refused, I have a body that suffers the world, and disgorges reality’.
There is a tiny prick at the top of page 10/11 and in the middle of page 22/23 (not disturbing the text). The rest of the copy is very fresh.
