A very fine presentation copy to Louis Chaslot, whom Montherlant is ‘touched by his loyalty to my works’. Our copy includes a newspaper clipping from Le Figaro dated 25 March 1960, headlined ‘Henry de Montherlant elected to the Académie Française by 24 votes and 5 blank ballots’.
